Well done to our under-11 basketball players who played in the ISAC Tournament recently! In total there were 24 teams and around 250 players over a day event.
ISKL girls’ teams played their best games of the season and won games throughout the morning just missing the finals. Effective dribbling and passing allowed more baskets to be scored.
Both the boys’ teams also won games with one going into the semis. After setting aside Alice Smith, ISKL faced the British School of Kuala Lumpur in the final. Despite being 6 nil down the boys stepped up the teamwork to reach eight all at half time. With two minutes to go the score was locked at 14 all, but we took the lead in the last 30 seconds, after a motivating time out, winning 16 to 14. So, gold medals and first place to the boys for 2015.
All players have trained hard and the skills and team spirit on display were fantastic. Many thanks to coaches Joan, Suji and Mangelsdorf!
