“We deeply believe that our success in preparing students for their future depends on how well we support them in developing 21st century skills today”.

ISKL hosts a series of parenting workshops and events throughout the calendar year that showcases a range of topical and fundamental areas of education and well-being with an eye on the future. They are aimed at supporting and strengthening the partnership and commitment of students with educators and parents.

Destination University

ISKL seniors are embarking upon post-High School educational degree courses, and we are committed to supporting parents and students throughout the entire process, wherever their chosen destination. We are able to provide up-to-date information for all individual families by covering topics such as:

  • expectations surrounding financial aid
  • scholarship opportunities
  • Extra-curricular costs including accommodation, living and travel expenses

Whether you are a non-U.S. citizen curious about accessing the U.S. University system, UK or European options, or a U.S. citizen open to either U.S or non-U.S. University entry, our expert team covers all aspects of the admission process within each individual country.  There are a series of workshops, open to all students and parents, that cater to these future international entries.

Preparing Your Child For Life After High School

ISKL is invested in our Grade 12 students embarking upon a positive future journey and offer informal talks to support a successful transition, including:

  • navigating the family dynamic shift
  • supporting a child’s independence
  • helping establish and develop a child’s life skills
  • promoting health and wellness

With this focus in mind, we are so often absorbed with the process of preparing our child for life after High School that we lose sight of the psychological impact it can have on us, as parents. ISKL offers a workshop that accesses the parental emotions we feel as our children gain independence, spread their wings and leave the nest in search of an independent further educational/career journey.
