When you join ISKL you automatically become part of a friendly, dynamic, and inclusive community. Whether starting school for the first time or transitioning from another school, our support framework and culture of care and empathy ensure both students and families feel at home from the moment they enroll. We are delighted to share with you some insights and testimonials from our parents.
It has been such a privilege to be able to go to ISKL. ISKL’s academics are amazing. ISKL hires top-notch teachers who know their stuff and have a passion for teaching. I have learned so much that within a month and a half into the school year, I am already halfway through my notebooks. Yet, ISKL’s homework and grading systems have an emphasis on learning, not perfection. There are many levels of classes, so all students can attend classes they can feel challenged but not overwhelmed. ISKL is such a good school that colleges all over the world come to ISKL to inform our students about their college. In addition, ISKL offers so many extracurriculars that it proves to be a challenge to pick as there are only five days in a week!
Not only does ISKL have top-notch academics and extracurricular activities, but the institution itself is very nice, the building is spacious, clean, and modern. The options for not only lunch but also breakfast and snacks are extensive, delicious, and healthy.
ISKL has such a positive and loving community. If any students are nervous about going to a new school, they have nothing to worry about. ISKL is my tenth school and I have never had a warmer welcome. ISKL went out of their way to show us to our classes (during the tour and during school), help us with all technology needed for school, and make sure we felt comfortable and included. In fact, the school has a club of peer helpers that help new ISKL students adjust to the new school.
We received several recommendations from ISKL parents. They told us it was a great school, probably a school like no others, where the environment is kind and open-handed. Everyone takes care of everyone. At first, we were worried because the school had way more students than our previous schools, however, on the first day, everyone welcomed you, helped you, and supported you to make you feel at home. We feel like ISKL is a very positive school, “teamwork makes the dream work!” as people say. New students feel like everyone is on the same boat, same journey, no matter the culture, belief, or country you come from.
I appreciate the teachers’ proactive stance on communication about student issues at each grade level. In both of years, my Middle School daughter attended ISKL, when she began to show signs of having difficulties in certain subjects, my husband and I were informed well in advance of the need for changes in her schedule so that she could receive the help she needed. The teachers make themselves available to the students in ways that the child always knows. They can get help with homework or difficult assignments whenever they need it, which removes the excuses for not being able to get work done because the student couldn’t get time with the teacher. WIN time is an awesome example of this.
From the top management, through administration, teachers, assistants, helpers, cleaners and guards, we have seen and experienced nothing but an amazing dedication to everyone’s job, all living the ISKL vision by heart! By this, ISKL is building a safe and secure basis for the children. My kids have grown tremendously over the last 18 months, within every subject at school, and through social interaction with people from all over the world. Every organization, within all different industries across the globe, would benefit from looking into how ISKL runs as an organization. It is with deep sadness; however, also with great memories, we are to leave ISKL. Until we meet again!
The ISKL community has not only been welcoming towards my daughter but also to our family by extension. As a parent, it has been a joy to see my daughter blossom, thrive, and enjoy the full experience of learning in ISKL. As the IB program is known to be a demanding and rigorous program, all my earlier concerns were dispelled, having seen how the school not only supported her academically but also gave my daughter a platform to discover new skills and untapped talent that we never knew she had before. It’s wonderful to have teachers and friends who are so encouraging and supportive of their learning journeys. Thank you, ISKL, for nurturing students to strive for excellence and to know the importance of having a healthy study, work, play life balance, and to be conscientious and active global citizens.

It has been very positive and a real pleasure to be part of the ISKL community for these years. Our daughter has enjoyed being a student there and we have been very happy with the philosophy of the school and the people that work there. The teachers have been loving, kind, and thoughtful and their feedback on our daughter and the work they put into her was much appreciated.
We have been overseas for 22 years and this was our sixth international school – ISKL is the BEST school we have encountered, for a variety of reasons. The top-notch facilities are what catch your eye to start, but then families quickly figure out they have top-notch leadership, faculty, and staff implementing their rock-solid mission and vision to complete the package. Every teacher is steeped in the guiding principles of the school and it shows. I am only sorry we could only be in Malaysia for three years, I wish we had more time!
