Mr. Antonio “Tony” Meloto, founder of Gawad Kalinga and its GK Enchanted Farm project, shared real-life transformational experiences at ISKL.
Recently, our Green Council played host to the Green Club from SriKDU. It was a very productive few hours with a variety of activities facilitated by our Green Council members and Sustainability Coordinator. Our visitors received an “eco highlight tour” of our Ampang campus and were duly impressed.
The 2023 Senior Awards was held for 154 graduating students and recognizes students who’ve shown dedication and passion for academics, sports, visual and performing arts, and community service.
With an educational philosophy that ensures ISKL students understand the importance of service, they develop the necessary skills to take action through efforts that impact communities around us.
K – 12 Service and Sustainability Coordinators and some High School teachers attended a workshop led by Mr. Harbir Gill.
The award recognizes a Senior student who has had the most positive and dynamic overall impact on the ISKL community in the fields of service, scholarship, sportsmanship and character.
When you add the clubs and community service programs we believe there is an opportunity for every student to be involved with something they are passionate about here at ISKL.
Summer is the time to recharge our batteries, but some will probably continue to practice sustainable living and service for others.
Co-founder and Director of Inspire Citizens Aaron Moniz shared with ISKL’s parents and the wider community the role they can play in helping their children contribute to a more sustainable future and how to spark conversation and understanding about intercultural learning at home.
