This week, we met up with Becky Naughton, who, apart from holding the Chair of the Faculty Association position has been a HS IB Economics
“Fun party,” says Charli, a student who went on the Cambodia 9 Global Action Program (GAP) trip, when asked to sum up the trip in a couple of words. I think it is safe to say that many other students on the trip agree with the “party” in that phrase. “Tiring party,” Jiya adds. “Exciting party,” George says. I personally was not too eager to go on this trip at the beginning.

A simple idea of to keep a group of Nepali children warm during the harsh winter lead to ISKL Global Action Program (GAP) trip that help students and teachers in Chisapani, Nepal.
The following is an English translation of a story published in the Pokhara Hotline National Daily newspaper on November 5, 2016.
GAP travel took the students to a new environment, a faraway land, a culture that was unique to them, and a place where they could partner with community projects. Many had opportunities to connect with communities and join them in site improvement projects leading students to a deeper sense of gratitude for the simple things.
