Our Alumni hold a very special place in ISKL’s rich history. They are the ones who cemented traditions, created change and built community. They are also part of our vision for ISKL’s future as we work to strengthen our culture and build connections between our current students, parents and faculty, and those who have gone before them.
“Fun party,” says Charli, a student who went on the Cambodia 9 Global Action Program (GAP) trip, when asked to sum up the trip in a couple of words. I think it is safe to say that many other students on the trip agree with the “party” in that phrase. “Tiring party,” Jiya adds. “Exciting party,” George says. I personally was not too eager to go on this trip at the beginning.
ISKL’s Middle School (MS) Student Agency initiative is designed to empower students to experience more voice and choice in how they learn which, in turn, supports the development of “future-ready” skills. The initiative empowers students to develop and practice important life skills such as initiative, calculated risk-taking, and belief in oneself in a supportive environment.
At the recent annual East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS) Leadership Conference ISKLs Elementary School (ES) Principal and Assistant Principal, Julie Olson and Azra Pathan shared their experience in navigating large scale change and leading inclusion. In their two EARCOS workshops, our ES Leaders contextualized their journey, and shared their learning and practical tips with the delegates who attended from international schools across the region.
High-caliber auditions recently took place for the 27 spots on the music team for IASAS Cultural Convention which will take place on March 6-8, 2020. The competition was tough and the 8-member teams for strings, vocals, and band have been chosen along with three pianists.
CulCon is an amazing opportunity for our students to showcase their amazing talent and hard work, creating pieces through various media such as photography, painting, drawing, as well as mixed media.

Every year, each of the six Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asian Schools (IASAS) bring delegates together to host a Model United Nations (MUN) conference. At its very core, MUN is about understanding the dynamic relations between countries that shape our world today.
