‘Community & Team Building’ was the theme for the camp-in experience, where students asked themselves questions to do with, The Me in We – what are my skills and what can I bring to my team? How can we work together?

This is the mantra of the parents-elected Board of Directors who are the governing body of ISKL. Their tireless work and piercing vision in ensuring that all resources are well managed and invested to support our students is a noteworthy achievement.
ISKL has embraced this concept with our comprehensive Food Technology program which is part of the Middle School curriculum. The aim of the program is to not only develop our students’ understanding of food but also to appreciate its many roles and functions.
With this experience, our Grade 5 students have gained an understanding that “ordinary” people can make a positive difference in the world. Affecting positive change and becoming socially responsible global citizens is a fundamental component of ISKL’s commitment to providing students with a well-rounded holistic education, and inspiring them to be future changemakers.
Student Council (StuCo) is a welcoming group of people that everyone in middle school is free to join. In StuCo, we plan upcoming events such as the MS party or TAG days. The MS party is an event that everyone in middle school is open to go to.
These students exhibit tremendous courage and confidence under enormous pressure. Their perseverance and incredible talent always elevate their performance. This event is rewarding and life-changing for the talented students selected. The High School teachers and students alike are excited and can’t wait to get this show on the road!
The school is an Eco-School Model for other International schools to follow and learn. They are a showcase of the benefits of the eco-school program. ISKL is always thinking about cost savings without decrementing its education standards.
Our school called this Agency 3.0 and gave us this opportunity to pursue our dreams and do what we wanted to do. Agency allows all students to pursue their dreams and do what they want to do so that they can all become who they’re meant to be.
With the stunning backdrop of the KL city skyline visible from the Elementary School rooftop venue, ISKL’s Parent Alumni came together for an evening “under the stars” at our very first Parent Alumni event in October. There were plenty of hugs as old friends caught up for the first time in years, and took the opportunity to reminisce and look to ISKL’s future.
We are delighted to welcome Malaysian Paralympic athlete, Muhamad Ashraf Bin Muhammad Haisham (Ashraf), and his trainers to ISKL as we commence a new partnership with the Malaysian Paralympic Development Program for their athletes to use our excellent facilities to train in the lead-up to the games in Tokyo in September 2020.
