Congratulations to Nadia Redza on winning Selangor’s Most Promising Female Athlete, a prestigious athletic honor from the state of Selangor.
Nadia Redza won 6 gold medals, dominating the field in the Malaysian Schools Sports Council (MSSM) Swimming Championships U18 age division.
Two ISKL teams reached the finals of “The Quest”, a competition by BRAINways EDUCATION focusing on creativity, collaboration and problem-solving.
Amidst concerts, gift exchanges, and the growing buzz of the holidays, Melawati students always find ways to celebrate their learning. On Wednesday, December 7, Grade 2 students picked out a series of work samples highlighting their growth over the semester to share with their parents. During this annual Grade 2 Celebration of Learning, parents and other community members joined the Melawati Campus where students presented their work across various forms including: paper, ipad recordings, lab reports, book creator tech projects, and more.
Sarah’s presentations to ISKL’s High School and Middle School students inspired them with details of her perseverance and about how writing served as her personal sanctuary during trying high school years.
ISKL students Eugenia Kwon and Diane Hare were recently named Commended Students in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program.
The 2nd TEDxISKL Talks, themed “Tomorrow Today”, provided a unique look at many issues our society will face in the future.
Cathryn returned to ISKL for this third weekend workshop. At this institute, Cathryn lead an exploration of concepts to further advance how your classrooms and schools authentically incorporate best practice of service learning, which is essentially best teaching and learning, period!
GAP travel took the students to a new environment, a faraway land, a culture that was unique to them, and a place where they could partner with community projects. Many had opportunities to connect with communities and join them in site improvement projects leading students to a deeper sense of gratitude for the simple things.
