We have embarked on a process to examine how we meet our students’ pastoral care needs. Advisory plays a large role in this, and we have Cathy Berger Kaye helping us. A small task force of counselors and teachers met with Cathy to explore the purpose of advisory, the role of the advisor and structural aspects of advisory that leads to success.
Cathryn returned to ISKL for this third weekend workshop. At this institute, Cathryn lead an exploration of concepts to further advance how your classrooms and schools authentically incorporate best practice of service learning, which is essentially best teaching and learning, period! This gathering of our outstanding educators will help us to further personalize our conversations and explorations. Cathryn brought a rare view of schools from around the world along with her extensive knowledge of service learning, IB programs, Common Core State Standards, and curricular design and development.
Our faculty members are pumped up and all set to go after the workshop.
