It’s been a busy time for Steven D. Powell (’06) who, in January this year, was appointed to the Health Policy Committee of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses in the US. He was then deployed to Puerto Rico by the Disaster Emergency Medical Personnel System (DEMPS) of the Department of Veterans Affairs to assist in relief efforts after the January earthquake. To top it all off, on March 5, he was one of two national scholarship winners to attend the Nursing Organization of Veterans Affairs Hill Day in Washington D.C. Congratulations Steven!
