INTERNATIONAL-MINDEDNESS DYNAMIC-COMMUNITY EXPERTS-IN-INTERNATIONAL-EDUCATIONThe award, which recognizes educators who have made a difference in students’ lives, was nominated and chosen by current UOC student and ISKL alumni Aditya Sagar (’21). Aditya was in Jaymin’s choir class for multiple years and was a lead drumset player during his time at ISKL.

Jaymin is a true example of how educators can go above and beyond their teaching to leave a lasting impression on their students. Having served at ISKL for the past six years, she has been highly active during her tenure in the HS Music department!

Jaymin is the HS Choral Music teacher, but she is also an advisor and organizer of many significant clubs and events in High School! She is the advisor to the Tri-M Club – an International Music Honor Society, the organizer for the annual Jazz Night concert and Elements Talent showcase, and the creator of the Virtual Virtuosos online movement, which came into force during the first Movement Control Order (MCO). Another historic event Jaymin coordinated was when she arranged four ISKL HS choirs to perform on the global stage at ‘Call to Unite!’ alongside celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Julia Roberts!

Thank you, Jaymin, for your unwavering spirit and dedication to our students. Not only is the award well deserved, we thank you for being a continued source of inspiration not just to our students but also to our whole community!

As the writer William Arthur Ward once said, “Teaching is more than imparting knowledge; it inspires change. Learning is more than absorbing facts; it is acquiring understanding.”
