IB Scholarship Award Ceremony
Malaysian Students Win the Prestigious IB Diploma Scholarship to Study at ISKL
Chua Zi from Kuala Lumpur and Lim Jih-Ming from Subang Jaya are the winners of the IB Diploma Scholarship offered at the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) in Jalan Kerja Ayer Lama, here.
Both Chua Zi and Jih-Ming were awarded the scholarship certificates at a formal ceremony at the ISKL recently. En. Ahmad Lotfi bin Zubir, Deputy Director, Private Education Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia, ISKL’s Board Secretary, Mrs. Kelly O’Hale, Head of School, Dr. Norma Hudson, parents of the successful candidates, senior members of the ISKL administration members, and current IB scholars were present at the ceremony.
The scholarship will help cover the IB Diploma programme at ISKL and fees, worth up to approximately RM250,000 for each candidate for two years.
Chua Zi hopes with the rigor of the IB curriculum and by studying in an environment surrounded by like-minded peer, she hopes to maximize her potential by investing as much commitment and perseverance as is needed in order to succeed in her goals and more.
Whereas, Jih-Ming choose the IB programme as it promotes diversity and becoming global. He believes it will be the only way for him to better himself by balancing and acknowledging all cultural differences and making the best of them.
Both Chua Zi and Jih-Ming were very excited about the prospect of studying at ISKL and are looking forward to being exposed to a wholly different multicultural environment.
