Jom Belajar: Mamak Culture

Mamak stalls are the cornerstone of Malaysian food culture and here, you’ll find a convergence of locals from all walks of life enjoying good food and conversation.

Mamaks typically stay open late–some are even open for 24 hours–and this serves as the perfect casual hangout spot for friends to gather. The exact definition of a mamak stall is subject to change; it varies from a loose collection of tables and chairs by the roadside, to a proper brick-and-mortar facility with air-conditioning.

Join us on this week’s installment of Jom Belajar, as we take you to our favourite mamak and walk you through our delectable lunchtime experience!
