ISKL Middle School Music Department hosted the annual Music Festival on April 1-2, 2017. The festival, founded by Lou Davey in 1999, began by inviting 7 local KL school’s music departments to ISKL for workshops and collaboration culminating in a joint performance.

The festival seeks to cultivate the concert band culture in Kuala Lumpur. This year was no exception as over 250 young musicians from across the city studied, practiced, and ultimately performed together in a large ensemble setting. Students were led and inspired by conductors Mr. Dan Miles from the High School Music Department and guest Ms. Ventia Webber from Australia. The event ran perfectly all weekend and the culminating concert was truly impressive!
