ISKL follows an 8-day rotating schedule; a system that is implemented at many leading schools. Research has proven that students’ access their individual peak learning performance and focus using this rotational schedule. It offers the same range of subjects on a daily basis with lessons meeting a different time period each day with classes ranging from 75 – 95 minutes.
An example:
Monday – Mathematics in first period
Science in second period
Tuesday – Mathematics in second period
Science in third period
Research demonstrates increased academic performance
Deeper learning evolves during an increased time in class
Students continuity of learning and curriculum development is supported
The variety of daily classes and activities is appealing to many students
An individual student’s recurrent absences has less impact on a single class
A student accessing extracurricular classes has less impact on a single class
