TECHNOLOGY

ISKL uses technology as a tool to create innovative teaching practices that encourage authentic learning experiences

All ISKL students have access to school-wide wireless internet and multimedia studios with a 1:1 device policy.  Elementary and Middle School students are equipped with school-owned iPads and MacBooks whilst High School students are obliged to purchase their own device.

Student learning is enhanced through access to technology resources (digital cameras and drones).  The integration of educational technology into the curriculum when appropriate and constructive supports the educational needs of the individual or class at hand.

The first major installation in Malaysia by Epsom, has equipped each core classroom with an interactive projector.   The presentation wall is transformed into a drawing board, allowing students to handwrite comments and diagrams as well as navigate resources to be saved for printing or editing purposes.  This engagement of technology takes student’s learning to the next level.

IdeaPaint is also a feature within each core classroom whereby presentation walls convert into giant, fully writable learning spaces.  Teachers and students have the opportunity to create, connect and explore big ideas which are further enhanced through a high quality Bluetooth sound system with remote access control.  The ability to screencast this content using Apple TV or Google Chromecast is available.

On-line Learning

A variety of home/school communication platforms supporting ISKL’s online learning system and giving access to real time information include ISKL’s G-Suite, PowerSchool and Google Classroom.
