Try these: after school activitiesflexible pathwayscurriculum

Do you eat peanut butter, honey or Vegemite? Does your family use shampoo or laundry detergent? Then listen up!

ISKL Alumni, the Earth Club and Trash Heroes are on a mission. We are planning a very special and (better still) SUSTAINABLE surprise for our Seniors, the Class of 2021. And we need your plastic!

Over the next two weeks, we will be collecting ONLY BLUE and YELLOW plastic that will go into our end-of-year surprise.

We can only use TYPE 2 and 5 plastic, the kind you find in the lids of food containers, shampoo and detergent bottles, as well as straws and drink lids. Take a look in your pantry or laundry and we’re sure you will find some.

Here’s what to do:

  • Scout your pantry and laundry for BLUE and YELLOW type 2 and 5 plastic (you can check underneath for these symbols)

  • Wash the plastic to make sure it’s clean

  • Bring your plastic to the CAS and Sustainability Office at the MS/HS entrance (it’s the room that’s covered in jungle plants) and drop it into the collection containers outside. For Elementary School, collection containers are in the entrance foyer nearby to the Nurse’s office

  • Tell your friends and family

It’s that easy!

Every little piece helps; it doesn’t matter if you only have one lid, just bring it and place it in the collection container.
