Inspire Programs

Taking learning to a new level, the Inspire Programs supports programs designed and led by our committed and dedicated faculty that are impactful and build a legacy of excellence at ISKL.

Established to foster a sense of communal contribution, the INSPIRE PROGRAMS empowers our community to support ISKL to enrich current and future students. Our goal is to craft a learning environment that inspires and nurtures our students year after year.

Throughout the years, successive generations of students have reaped the benefits of extraordinary learning experiences within and beyond the classroom. Through the generosity of donors like you, these projects materialize, turning dreams into reality for our students year after year. Every gift, regardless of size, contributes to realizing these impactful initiatives. Your support ensures that the Inspire Programs continue to flourish, making a lasting difference in the lives of our students.

Thanks to our amazing PTA, parents and Alumni donors, students have benefited from these exciting projects and events over the years, as seen below:

MS and HS students were given a rare opportunity to attend Physical Theater workshops conducted by Mark Hill, an internationally acclaimed physical theater performer, director, and teacher from Australia with a global reputation for his skills and expertise. The students were incredibly fortunate to learn from someone with such extensive experience at IASAS schools and throughout Asia and Europe, and the workshops were an invaluable complement to their curriculum.

Students experienced the enriching convergence of music, leadership, and critical thinking through Frank Troyka's inspirational workshops. A renowned guest conductor based in the US, Troyka inspired students to reach new heights and led inspirational workshops where music, leadership, and critical thinking intersected, leaving students enriched and inspired.

The new Mass Run Timing system is a game-changer for cross-country teams and community races like the Panther Run. With the help of RFID tags worn by runners on their wrists, the system tracks and records their time precisely, making timekeeping more straightforward and accurate. This revolutionary technology is set to transform the way races are conducted, inspiring students to push themselves further and achieve their best.

With the advanced Pixelbot Camera System, coaches and athletes can now better understand their sports performance on the field or court. The system's state-of-the-art technology allows for unparalleled sports analysis, paving the way for continuous growth and improvement.

Our youngest learners embraced nature by bringing their dream garden to life through the power of digging and planting. They carefully handpicked plant varieties from local nurseries and put in their hearts and souls to transform their playground into a thriving and vibrant learning space. Today, their garden is a beautiful oasis, blooming with colorful flowers, buzzing with busy insects, and abundant with delicious, edible plants.

The Grade 1 Sensory Movement Path is a true masterpiece in the Grade 1 hallway. The vibrantly painted pathway is a beautiful depiction of a Malaysian jungle scene, surrounded by lush plants, designed specifically for the students. The first graders actively participated in the entire process, from conceptualization to the final design, and eventually provided feedback on the finished product. Seeing the students' input and creativity come together to create such a wonderful and unique learning experience is inspiring.

Our Elementary School students are changemakers in the making! Each year, Grade 5 students participate in the annual Social Change Maker's Conference, where Malaysia's leading social activists train them to create a positive impact. This conference is a platform that empowers our students to think beyond themselves and become agents of change in their communities. By interacting with local activists and NGOs who volunteer their time to help others, our students are inspired to make a difference in the world around them.

ISKL hosted a groundbreaking event - the first-ever Malaysian National VEX IQ Robotics Championship at the Ampang Hilir campus. Participants displayed exceptional skills and expertise by controlling their robots to perform various challenges, such as picking up and placing them on platforms, pushing balls into cubes, and completing other agile tasks in 30-to-60-second rounds. It was an incredible feat, and the participants showed they could achieve anything they set their minds to with dedication, hard work, and passion.

In just under two months, students taking part in the High School Musical "Bring It On!" were transformed into incredible cheerleaders with the help of professional cheerleading and acrobatic coaches from Cheer Aspirations. Their captivating talents were displayed as they sang, danced, acted, and performed breathtaking cheerleading stunts to the audience's delight.

The grand piano is a highly valued addition to the ISKL Music Department. It represents the school's commitment to providing students with the best possible musical education and inspires all who use it. Whether during a concert, an event, or a guest performance, the piano embodies the spirit of creativity and passion at the heart of the ISKL community.

The Middle School rooftop garden is a remarkable space where students can put their learning into practice, creating a nurturing community oasis in the sky. Through identifying, planting, growing, and cooking various herbs, fruits, and vegetables, students can gain hands-on experience and cultivate their passion for gardening. With over 20 varieties of produce, including kale, eggplant, papaya, mint, and basil, the garden is a source of inspiration and growth for the Middle School community. The garden is a testament to the students' dedication and hard work, and it continues to serve as a valuable resource for the Middle School Food Technology program, the Gardening Club, and other classes.
