Our Community – Adaptable, Agile and Supportive!
What a week it has been, and once again we continue to be grateful to belong to a community that is so adaptable, agile, and supportive.
Naturally, we were disappointed to learn on Monday that we were required to close our campus on Wednesday. Our safety measures have proven to be extremely effective and we would not have chosen to close if it had not been mandated by the Government. However, we are an agile and positive community and we are committed to doing all we can for our students. With the news that examinations were allowed on campus during the CMCO, we were pleased that our quick action enabled us to gain permission from the Ministry of Education to hold the PSAT exams as scheduled on Wednesday for our Grade 10 and 11 students. We were also delighted to bring the MS Dance Show forward so that it could be held on campus before the start of the CMCO. We would have loved our parents to be there but our (physically distanced) audience of students, faculty, and staff were there to support our dancers and enjoyed every minute of it. The show was outstanding, even more so because it was student-led and a wonderful example of our students being empowered, taking risks, and pursuing their passions. Congratulations to all those involved.
We have been happy to receive positive feedback about the transition between On-Campus learning one day to Continuous Learning the next. When we named our program “Continuous Learning”, it was for this very reason – to signify our commitment to ensuring our students experienced a seamless, continuous transition between face-to-face and online learning. While on the surface the transition occurred with practiced ease, in reality, it was only made possible by the robustness of our online Continuous Learning program, the hard work of our teachers, the commitment of our students, and of course the support of our families. Thank you to everyone for keeping our focus on advancing learning and nurturing well-being.
We remain hopeful the closure will only be for two weeks and we will continue to keep in touch with you via Panther News on Friday, emails, our Roadmap, and through our usual online parent information sessions.
To all our community members whether here in KL or overseas, stay safe, and take care of yourselves.
In partnership,
Rami Madani
