Earlier in the year, The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) was recognized in the online publication Newsweek as one of the most noteworthy schools globally for 2020.
The article takes a look and reflects on our strengths in running a successful IB Diploma Programme, stating that “as the longest-running IB World School in Malaysia, ISKL consistently outperforms the worldwide IB Diploma average score and has a 28-year pass rate of 96%.”
ISKL has been authorized to teach the program since 1989 and provides a challenging two-year pre-university curriculum that leads to a qualification recognized by many of the world’s leading universities.
It also mentions our goal and mission to recruit the best educators in the world with a robust recruitment strategy in place to achieve this goal stating that “the experience and expertise of ISKL’s faculty play a major role in this success. Overall, 90% of ISKL’s faculty have a minimum of nine years of teaching experience, 75% hold a Master’s or Ph.D., and 60% of IB teachers are also IB examiners”.
Newsweek continues to talk about how an education at ISKL “encourages students to be future-ready, self-directed, and successful in managing real-world complexities” and concludes on how students can attain a bilingual IB diploma with literature and languages in Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish to equip the next generation of students with 21st-century future-ready skills.
