Our Transformational Learning Journey

Rami-Madani-Head-of-SchoolEarlier this week, we celebrated the Class of 2021 with a virtual graduation ceremony that saw loved ones in KL and around the world united in their joy for our students. My thanks to everyone who joined us for the event, to our amazing musical performers, speakers, and ceremony organizers. Most importantly of all, congratulations to our 172 Seniors and their families. Our alumni motto is, Once a Panther, Always a Panther, and I know you will take ISKL with you in your hearts – it has been an honor for us to be part of your learning journey and remind you that ISKL is always your home. Our Grade 12 students are not the only ones marking an important milestone in their learning journey. The celebrations continue next week with Moving On Ceremonies for our Grade 5 and 8 students who will be joining Middle and High School in August, plus of course, our Prep Seniors who will be moving up to Grade 1. Rising from one grade or division to another is an important rite of passage, and with it comes new responsibilities and new opportunities. We often refer to learning as being a transformational journey – the small transformations happen every day, often without us knowing it, and it is only when an end-of-year milestone is reached that we reflect and realize how much growth has occurred over the past year. It is those small transformations and actions that combine over time and have the power to change the world. We are looking forward to seeing our students take on the new challenges that await them next year.

Transformation, learning, and growth to all of us – not only our students – and we hope you have found the parent workshops and information sessions that we held throughout this year helpful and supportive. As we plan for next year’s parent event program, we thank all our parents who have completed the Parent Workshop Feedback Form and provided feedback on the topics you found useful and areas you would like to learn more about so that we can continue to strengthen our program and make sure it meets the needs of our parents. We are honored to be on life’s learning journey with you and your family, and we are looking forward to sharing new opportunities to learn together next year.

In the meantime, we have our Summer Program to look forward to! The program will run over the course of two weeks, June 14-18 and June 21-25, and offers a wide variety of online opportunities for all grades to learn something new and have fun.
