As a school, reflection is an integral component in our culture and an essential part of the learning process. Reflection helps us understand the journey of learning itself and enables growth and development – not just for our students but for our community as a whole. At ISKL, life’s learning journey is a shared experience.
As we come to the end of the year I wanted to share my reflections on our growth and learning as a community this semester. Guided by our mission, vision and school-wide learning results we have begun our journey of defining ISKL’s future together to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our students, and support them in developing the lifelong skills that are so important in leading purposeful and fulfilling lives. We have also continued to focus on strengthening our school-parent partnership and nurturing our culture of care and empathy. Listening to each other’s perspectives and sharing our ideas is fundamental to the growth and development of our school. Please know that your input is always welcome and truly valued.
This semester has also been a very special one for me. It is my first semester as Head of School, and it has truly been a privilege and honor to lead our school. I am so appreciative of our wonderfully, positive and caring community and I want to thank our students for their commitment and enthusiasm for learning that fills our campus each day, our parents for their partnership which is so important in the education of our students, our faculty for their amazing work in facilitating learning, and our staff who enable the seamless operation of our school so that learning remains our focus.
As we come to the end of this year of learning and growth, I wish you season’s greetings, a relaxing break and a very happy new year. I look forward to seeing you in January and to continuing our learning journey together as we unfold our exciting vision for ISKL.
Yours in collaboration and learning,
Rami Madani
